A major industrial company in South Jersey was in need of new conference room solutions after completing renovations at their Maple Shade, NJ headquarters. They envisioned spaces where communication and collaboration could happen seamlessly, whether for large board meetings or quick huddles. Without a dedicated A/V partner, they struggled with outdated hardware and frequent conference room downtime. This client called Hensinger Audio Video to get help with the design, installation, and support of new conference room solutions. Efficient, modern technology is at the forefront of this project.
Our Approach to Deploying New Conference Room Solutions:
Collaborating closely with the company’s Director of Systems and Communications and other staff members, we aimed to create a solution that addressed both immediate needs for a new boardroom and ongoing updates for existing systems. HAV’s goal was to keep costs low while maximizing the value of their technology investments.
The Solution:
Main Conference Room Solution
We reimagined the main conference room to meet the needs of both executive meetings and interactive training sessions. Designed to comfortably host up to 16 people, the room now integrates cutting-edge technology for optimal video conferencing and content sharing.
The ideal conferencing system chosen for the room was the Logitech Rally Plus System. It includes a high-quality PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) camera, ensuring clear visibility of all participants. A cool feature of this camera is the capability to automatically focus on the current speaker. Additionally, wireless content sharing simplifies presentations, eliminating the need for cables across the table. Intuitive mute controls with red indicator lights on the microphones ensure clarity regarding when the system is active or muted. A standout feature of the Logitech Rally Plus is the privacy camera, which flips down when not in use, ensuring security and confidentiality.
To accommodate both large meetings and training sessions, we installed two 75″ TVs for simultaneous displays and a projector with a drop-down screen, making the space versatile and dynamic.
Huddle Rooms
In addition, we designed two smaller satellite huddle rooms. Each room is equipped with a 55″ TV, HDMI sharing, and a Logitech Meetup system, creating an ideal environment for quick, spontaneous collaborations. The Meetup system offers high-quality video conferencing in a compact, all-in-one unit designed for smaller spaces.
Training Room Equipment Update
We also addressed outdated A/V equipment in the training room, which hadn’t been serviced in over three years. The main issue was a malfunctioning motorized projector mount. This caused delays by preventing smooth content sharing. Because of these issues, we replaced it with a new ceiling-integrated lift, offering quieter, faster operation, with a extended lifespan of at least five years. Along with a 150″ screen and enhanced audio, the upgraded system transformed the training room into an engaging and immersive environment for effective learning.
The Outcome:
The company’s office now feels completely revitalized. The updated conference room, huddle spaces, and training room are inviting, flexible, and easy to use, making communication and collaboration a seamless part of their daily operations.
